Rob West, CEO of NorthPointe Strategy Group, is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). He and his associates work with owners to find the right strategies that enable owners to maximize the value of their business. It’s finding the answer to the questions of when to sell, for how much, to whom and how to do it. It is what Rob West calls, “getting the business dressed up for the dance.”   Once this process is completed, strategies to find the right buyer may include transferring ownership to family members; selling it to employees or a management team; finding a qualified buyer; using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) or in some cases, even liquidating the enterprise.  The objective… maximize the financial returns for the owner.
